Celebrate GIS Day and Announce the Winners of Map Competition!

Enter the fascinating world of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), on November 20, from 1-3 p.m. in the second-floor collaborative space at the Dinsdale Family Learning Commons on East Campus.  Whether you’re a GIS enthusiast or just curious to learn more, join us for informative talks by GIS experts, networking opportunities and meeting with representatives from the Nebraska Geographic Information Office (GIO), Nebraska Department of Transportation, Nebraska Department of Natural Resources, and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. They will be discussing GIS-related internships and job opportunities in Nebraska. 

We are excited to feature a talk by Gabriel Bruguier, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Research Specialist Librarian, who will present on the “Creation of the Yankton Sioux Indian Reservation: A Family History.”
